Carbon Cleaning – Ipswich

There are a few things that you can do yourself to help prevent carbon build-up:

• give the engine a chance to get really hot and burn off some of the carbon by getting out on the motorway and giving the car a good blast
• keeping your ECU software up to date can, in some cases, avoid any carbon building up at all
• make sure that you have the oil in your engine changed regularly and only use good-quality synthetic oil if you’re topping it up yourself
• filling up with high-octane fuel, which burns hotter than the alternatives and so will burn away more of the carbon, leaving less to clog up your intake valve
